Be\u015f arkada\u015f\u0131m\u0131z Afrika\u2019n\u0131n en y\u00fcksek noktas\u0131 olan Klimanjaro\u2019ya \u00e7\u0131kmak i\u00e7in Afrika\u2019dalar. Hen\u00fcz onlardan bir haber almad\u0131k ama g\u00fczel bir etkinlik yapacaklar\u0131n\u0131 umuyoruz.<\/p>\r\n

Karda t\u0131rman\u0131\u015f, arkas\u0131ndan yer yer dizboyu karda inmek olduk\u00e7a yordu dizlerimi. \u00d6zellikle ini\u015f rotalar\u0131nda bir problem ya\u015famamak i\u00e7in \u00e7ok dikkatli ad\u0131m att\u0131m ve \u00e7o\u011funlukla geriden grubu takip ettim. \u0130yice karanl\u0131\u011fa kalmamak i\u00e7in mola vermeden y\u00fcr\u00fcd\u00fck. Girdi\u011fimiz rota \u00c7\u00f6r\u00e7\u00f6r tepesine gelmeden bizi Spil Atalan\u0131\u2019na giden asfalt yola \u00e7\u0131kard\u0131. Buradaki ara\u00e7 trafi\u011fi inan\u0131lmazd\u0131: Gidenler d\u00f6nenler, yol kenar\u0131na park eden ara\u00e7lar; y\u00fcr\u00fcmekte zorland\u0131k adeta. Kimileri mangal yap\u0131yor, kimileri kartopu oynuyordu;  b\u00fct\u00fcn \u0130zmir burada sanki, ve de Manisa. Neyse ki bir s\u00fcre sonra \u00c7\u00f6r\u00e7\u00f6r\u2019e giden toprak yola sapt\u0131k. Toprak dediysem, karla kapl\u0131 tabii ki; ama \u015f\u00fck\u00fcr ki ara\u00e7 ve insan curcunas\u0131 yok, gene do\u011fayla ba\u015fba\u015fa kalmak \u00e7ok iyi geldi.<\/figure>\r\n

\u00d6nce eski \u00c7\u00f6r\u00e7\u00f6r G\u00f6zetleme Kulesi yan\u0131ndan ge\u00e7tik, sonra yeni \u00c7\u00f6r\u00e7\u00f6r G\u00f6zetleme Kulesi yak\u0131n\u0131ndan. Ondan sonras\u0131nda iyice a\u015fa\u011f\u0131larda kar\u0131n erimesiyle \u00e7amur i\u00e7inde kalan toprak yollardan s\u00fcren uzun bir ba\u015fka etkinlik ba\u015flad\u0131 sanki. Y\u00fcr\u00fcyoruz y\u00fcr\u00fcyoruz, bir t\u00fcrl\u00fc 700 metrelerin alt\u0131na inemiyoruz. Ne zaman arkam\u0131za baksak, \u00c7\u00f6r\u00e7\u00f6r kulesi ensemizde!<\/p>\r\n

Hava kararmaya yak\u0131n hala \u00e7amurlu yollardan y\u00fcr\u00fcyoruz. RES\u2019ler  i\u00e7in haz\u0131rlanm\u0131\u015f geni\u015f yollar, patikalar\u0131 ve \u00e7evreyi de olduk\u00e7a de\u011fi\u015ftirmi\u015f. Bir ara biraz karars\u0131zl\u0131klar ya\u015fad\u0131k. Hava kararmaya yak\u0131n dijital cihazlar\u0131m\u0131zla rota g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015fmeleri yapt\u0131k. Ama sonunda hep rehberimizin s\u00f6yledi\u011fi yoldan y\u00fcr\u00fcd\u00fck. Yolu uzatt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 veya k\u0131saltt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 bilmiyordum ama sonunda muhtemelen k\u00f6y\u00fcn yak\u0131n\u0131nda park etmi\u015f olan arac\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n \u0131\u015f\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6rd\u00fck. THE CLIMBING OF SP\u0130L MOUNTAIN FROM MAN\u0130SA SEY\u0130R YER\u0130 and WALKING TO \u0130ZM\u0130R YAKAK\u00d6Y – Feb.10, 2020<\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n

On a very cold day, we started from Seyir Yeri overlooking Manisa, crossed Spil Mountain and walked till to \u0130zmir Yakak\u00f6y. We walked in the snow for 7.5 hours during the activity, which lasted 25 km and 10 hours. Since the paths were under the snow, we walked improvised and sometimes we sank in snow, sometimes we had to go through the bushes. Since this situation caused our speed to slow down, we continued on our way without climbing to Karlik Hill in order to avoid darkness. I can say that when we take a break for something to eat at 13:00, we have made only one-fifth of the walk (4.13 km)!<\/p>\r\n

We had a 45-minute lunch break in the snow and I ate my 723rd sandwich standing. Our wise guide Zafer G\u00fcrhan did it again and I drank three glasses of his magnificent homemade red wine!<\/p>\r\n

Sunny shining sky, wonderful surrounding landscape; Snowy postcard scenes that Izmirians love. However, the weather was very cold. The temperature was always minus; There was only one good thing, our clothes never got wet as the snow didn’t melt!<\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n

Today we were 12 people as Petkimtrek: Zafer, Atalay, \u00c7etin, Erg\u00fcn, Ferda, G\u00f6khan, Mehmet Ali, Murat, Orhan, S\u00fcha, \u015einasi, \u00d6mer. 5 of our friends were in Africa to climb Klimanjaro, the highest point of Africa. We haven’t heard from them yet, but we are sure they will organize a nice event.<\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n

Climbing in the snow, then getting down on sometimes in the knee-high snow quite tired my knees. I walked very carefully to avoid a problem especially on the descending and mainly followed the group behind them. We walked without a break to avoid walking at night. From time to time making stops to drink water, we were getting breath.<\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n

The route we entered took us to the asphalt road to Spil Atalan before reaching \u00c7\u00f6r\u00e7\u00f6r Hill. The traffic here was incredible: going cars, coming cars, cars parked by the roadside; walking became almost difficult. Some were barbecuing, some were playing snowballs; It was as if all of Izmir was here, and of course Manisa!<\/p>\r\n

Fortunately after a while we turned to the dirt road to \u00c7\u00f6r\u00c7\u00f6r. I said a dirt road, but it was actually covered in snow: But thank God there were no cars and no human uproar, it was very nice to be with nature again.<\/p>\r\n

<\/p>\r\n

First we passed by the old \u00c7\u00f6r\u00e7\u00f6r Observation Tower and then near the new \u00c7\u00f6r\u00e7\u00f6r Observation Tower. Then, after the snow melted at very low altitudes, as if a new long event began, driving on muddy roads. We were walking and walking but for somehow we did not manage to get below 700 meters. Looking back, the \u00c7\u00f6r\u00e7\u00f6r Tower is always on our napes!<\/p>\r\n

The weather was almost dark, we were still walking on the muddy roads. The wide roads prepared for RES’s really had changed the paths and the environment. Meanwhile we had some indecision. We made route discussions with our digital devices close to the dark. Finally we walked always the route our guide said. I didn’t know we made the road extend or shorter, but eventually we saw the lights of our vehicle, which was probably parked near the village.<\/p>\r\n

After settling in our vehicle, we continued to \u0130zmir without wasting time in the village. With the happiness of completing our activity, which lasted from 9:25 to 19:21 in the morning, without any problems, we went to our homes by putting our sore legs on our shoulders.<\/p>\r\n
